Strange things happen, not only in reference to the Panthers being struck twice by the Lightning, but it seems we had the same connotations and titled our blogs the same too. I agree with your conclusion about the shaky defense and goaltending. Unfortunately it would again be theme against the Canadiens. Now lets hope they can get their act together against the Islanders...

Florida has a young team with a lot of potential but two hockey teams in a warm weather climate such as Florida. Hopefully both teams will be able to sustain the current economic crisis and manage to stay put.

Seen over the entire game the Florida Panthers must be content to get a point from a very difficult away tie, especially with the return of the line up - players who have been injured always come back slower, especially players like Stillams and Horton.

Tomas Vokoun was solid in goal I thought, after sitting out 9 games, you'd expect him to be rusty, but I thought he kept the Panthers in the game during the first 2 periods.

I think it is just a matter if time until the Panthers pick up their speed. I'm hoping for at least a fighting chance at the playoffs this season!

McCabe and Ballard are solid defenders. They both are great additions to the Panthers.
